How do I install a Mr.Ghost resource pack?
Download the .zip — do not unzip it. In Minecraft open Options › Resource Packs › Open Pack Folder, drop the zip into the folder that opens, then move the pack to the left-hand side to activate it.

Which Minecraft version do these packs work on?
Both resource packs are built for Minecraft 1.8.9, the version most PvP servers still run. They use pack_format 1, so newer clients will show an “incompatible” warning — the pack still loads, but some newer blocks and items added after 1.8.9 will fall back to their vanilla textures.
The Rainbow MLG map is a 1.15.2 world and opens in 1.15.2 or later.
Do I need OptiFine?
No, the packs work on vanilla Minecraft. Both do ship MCPatcher-style extras though (connected textures, custom sky and item variants), and those specific features only render if you run OptiFine. OptiFine also gives you a large FPS gain on its own, so it is worth having for PvP regardless.
Will this actually raise my FPS?
Usually, yes — the packs use a small, consistent texture budget with a 32× base, so your GPU pushes far fewer pixels than it does on a 128× or 256× pack. How much you gain depends on your hardware, render distance and whether you run OptiFine.
If your frame rate is lower after installing, allocate more RAM to Minecraft and turn mipmap levels down — that fixes it almost every time.
How do I install the Rainbow MLG map?
Unzip it, then move the extracted world folder into your saves directory: %appdata%\.minecraft\saves on Windows, or ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves on macOS. It then shows up in your singleplayer world list.
What do the files cost?
Nothing, and they never will. There is no account, no paywall, no ad-gate and no link shortener sitting between you and the file — the download buttons hit the file directly.
What file type do I get?
Are the downloads safe?
They are plain texture and world files — no installer, no executable, no mod loader. But you should never take a stranger's word for that, mine included. Every file is served straight from a public Codeberg repository so you can inspect exactly what you are getting, and you can run any download through VirusTotal before you open it.

Come back to the downloads page — it always links the current build, and updates are free like everything else. New releases also go up on TikTok.
